Lil Durk Gives Drake a Chain to Celebrate ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ Success

Drake and Lil Durk’s collaboration “Laugh Now Cry Later” remains at the top of the charts.

To celebrate the song’s success, Durk gifted his collaborator with a brand new chain. The custom necklace, which features Drake’s OVO logo over Durk’s OTF emblem, was cut from VVS emerald diamonds with solitaire round diamonds on the side. Durk had it custom designed by celebrity jeweler Izzy Luxury.

Taking to Instagram, Drake proudly showed off his newest chain around his neck. “VVV Rare @lildurk,” he captioned his video.

“Laugh Now Cry Later” is Durk’s highest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100. It debuted at No. 2 on the chart and is currently No. 3, while topping the Canadian Hot 100 upon its release.

In an interview with Power 106’s “The Morning Crew” last month, the Chicago rapper revealed how his collaboration with the 6 God came together. “We already been locked in. It was just perfect timing. One day, [Drake] just hit me, like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I just knocked that motherfu**er out,’” said Durk.

While his verse was well received, it also had fans wishing it was longer. “It wasn’t [Drake’s] fault. I could’ve gave him longer,” Durk added. “When I sent it to [Drake], he was like, ‘Man, I wish it was longer.’”

Durk, who recently dropped his single “The Voice,” continues to beef with 6ix9ine. He recently clowned the sales for Tekashi’s album TattleTales.

“Just want to sell 55k worth of Merch like somebody albums sales otfgear.com,” he captioned his Instagram post, referring to the 55,000 first-week sales projections for TattleTales.
