Trippie Redd Disses ‘C-List’ Rappers for Their Low Album Sales

Trippie Redd seemingly dissed who he called “C-list rappers” for their low album sales and called them the “Avengers of trash.”

Last Friday (April 8), rappers such as Fivio Foreign, Coi Leray, Gunplay, EST Gee and 42 Dugg, Vince Staples and others dropped their projects but, according to industry forecasters, they won’t deliver high enough sales to top the Billboard 200 album chart next week. Trippie Redd took notice of this and hopped on his Instagram Live on Friday (April 15) to offer his commentary.

“I need all the C-list rappers—we ‘bout to create the Avengers of trash niggas,” he said. “Nigga, we gon’ sell what? If we all put our 30,000 first week together, we gonna make a milli, nigga!”

Although Trippie didn’t name names, one rapper he could be talking about is his ex, Coi Leray.

According to reports, the 2021 XXL Freshman is expected to come in with 11,000 equivalent album sales in the first week for her debut album, Trendsetter. Although the sales figures haven’t been finalized, it was enough for critics to downplay her LP release. Nevertheless, Coi appears to be not fazed by the criticisms.

“God has been the best father to me. I can’t complain about anything,” she tweeted last week. “My debut album is amazing and not one song can you say is bad. It been 5 days. I understand Coi Leray is so viral & works good on blogs headlines but trust me,it’s all part of the game just ride out andstayfocus”

Coi Leray then added: “One thing y’all should know about me, I don’t fold under pressure. This lil body got thick skin baby. Only me can stop me.#trendsetter ALBUM OUT NOW!!!!”

Meanwhile, Fivio Foreign was also mocked about his projected album sales by 6ix9ine. Last Wednesday (April 13), the reportedly broke rapper popped up on social media and poked fun at Fivio’s forecasted album sales total of 29,000 equivalent albums for his debut project, B.I.B.L.E. Tekashi saw the news on an Instagram blog and decided to slander Fivio in the comment section.

“This y’all king?” 6ix9ine wrote. “Not blackballed, all those features, the whole industry promoted that and now you Kanye and nicki sidekick even they even tried to help you promote.”

No matter how well all the albums do sales-wise, this was a good week for rap releases.
