50 Cent Says Friendship with Eminem Is ‘Never Gonna Change’

50 Cent and Eminem are friends for life.

Fresh off their Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Dr. Dre, 50 took a moment to reflect on his longtime friendship with his mentor. He shared a photo of him and Em from 2003 alongside a pic of them from the Super Bowl this year.

Despite the 19-year gap between the photos, 50 said they remain just as close.

“This friendship is never gonna change,” he wrote in his caption.

50 has often shown his loyalty to Eminem, who signed him to his Shady Records label 20 years ago.

“I have so much value for him, not just in my career, just in my life,” he told Music Choice in 2014. “He’s a guy that’s one of my best friends because I can trust that he’s gonna be honest in his constructive criticism.”

He also touted Em’s skills as an MC. “Hip-hop is Black music, without question. And unfortunately for some people, it’s tough to accept that you got a white artist that does it better than a Black artist,” he added. “You can get whoever you feel like is the best Black artist and stand them face to face in a room with Em and he will eat that shit alive.”

In January 2020, Eminem honored 50 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “I’m here today because this is not only a business partner to me, it’s one of the best friends I’ve ever known in the world,” he said during the induction ceremony. “And I would say it’s much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy, ’cause this guy is fu**ing relentless. And he won’t stop.”

While it’s been three years since they last collaborated on Ed Sheeran’s “Remember the Name,” Eminem did make a guest appearance on 50’s Starz series “BMF” in November.
