Pusha T Shades Drake Over Album Streams

Pusha T Shades Drake Over Album Streams

[ad_1]

Pusha T continues to be petty.

Amid Drake and Kanye West’s reignited feud, Pusha inserted himself into their rivalry by “liking” a tweet that claimed the streaming numbers for Certified Lover Boy are declining while DONDA‘s numbers are rising.

The tweet cites Drake’s first-day streams at 153.4 million compared to 94.5 million for DONDA. On the second day, Kanye reportedly saw an increase in streams with 102.1 million vs. Drake with 89.9 million.

“I predicted this,” reads the tweet, which received a “like” from Pusha. “I said drake’s day 1 is gonna be huge off the element of surprise then its just gonna drop. donda everyone heard in full 3 weeks before it dropped, still did these numbers and is only growing in streams. crazy!”

Just last week, Pusha also “liked” an Instagram post from someone who criticized the Damien Hirst-designed artwork for CLB.

“Tell me the (art) world values mediocre White cis-male artists above all else Without telling me the (art) world values mediocre White cis-male artists above all else,” wrote the critic. “Thanks @champagnepapi for reaffirming the utter mediocrity that rises to the top of the art world!”

This comes as Drake seemingly took shots at Kanye and Pusha with his verse on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.” “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know,” he raps. “45, 44 (burned out), let it go / Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”

Prior to this, Pusha fueled their years-long rivalry with his verse on Pop Smoke’s “Tell the Vision,” which includes the lyrics, “The crown is only for the king and they tryna place it on a clown.”

DONDA officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 309,000 equivalent album units, the largest week for any album this year. Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is expected to dethrone DONDA on the charts next week. CLB broke the record on Apple Music and Spotify for biggest single-day streams ever.
