The Biden Administration Expected to Suggest Booster Vaccines

The Biden Administration will soon recommend Americans to receive COVID-19 booster shots. The announcement states the booster should be received eight months after completing their initial vaccination.
According to Politico, the booster shots are distributed as early as mid to late September. The booster vaccinations are also dependent on the Food and Drug Administration authorizing boosters for eligible Americans.
The Biden Administration received data highlighting the effectiveness over time, revealing that boosters would be needed within weeks. Health officials previously believed boosters would be required in the fall to continue protecting Americans from hospitalization.
Just last week, the boosters were believed to be for those with compromised immune systems. Boosters for Americans will also face scrutiny from international sources as countries that are more well off like America were asked to delay boosters until developing nations received their first vaccines.
