Twitter Reacts to Luka Doncic’s Epic 48 Point Olympic Debut
[ad_1]
Luka Doncic didn’t disappoint in his Olympic debut. Doncic scored 48 points in 31 minutes. The point total is the second-most ever in an Olympic game, as he fell just short of the 55 points Brazilian Hall of Famer Oscar Schmidt scored in 1988. Doncic also had 11 rebounds and 5 assists to help Slovenia to a 118-100 win over Argentina.
After the game, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban sent out a tweet praising Doncic.
Doncic had 17 points in the first quarter. For the record, Olympic basketball quarters are only 10 minutes long. With no other NBA player on the roster, Doncic did most of the heavy lifting for his team. Doncic’s performance had Twitter going crazy.
Doncic is now a perfect 14-0 in international competition with Slovenia. Is a gold medal in his future? Only time will tell if that’s the case.
