Teyana Taylor Accuses Iman Shumpert Of Cutting Off Utilities Amid Divorce Proceedings

The ongoing divorce battle between Teyana Taylor and her estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, has taken a turn as Taylor alleges Shumpert is resorting to underhanded tactics. Amid their legal dispute, Taylor has accused Shumpert of cutting off utilities and neglecting financial responsibilities related to their marital home and their children.

Last year, Taylor filed for divorce from Shumpert after seven years of marriage, during which they welcomed two children together. However, their separation has been marred by a series of disputes over various aspects of their shared life, including finances and the division of assets.

According to TMZ, Taylor’s attorney recently filed court documents detailing Shumpert’s alleged actions. Taylor claims that Shumpert, who moved out of their Georgia home in October, has been gradually shutting down utilities at the residence where she currently resides with their children. The documents state that Shumpert’s brother, who manages his affairs, informed Taylor of Shumpert’s intentions to cut off power to the home.

Taylor further alleges that Shumpert has failed to contribute financially toward their children’s expenses, including child support, food, and clothing costs. Despite the court’s standing order for both parties to maintain the status quo on home and financial matters during the divorce proceedings, Taylor asserts that Shumpert has not upheld his responsibilities.

Taylor also claims that Shumpert left her responsible for $200,000 worth of home renovations that he initiated three years ago. Despite promises of reimbursement, Taylor states that Shumpert has not fulfilled his financial obligations regarding the renovations, citing purported financial constraints tied to investments.

In response to Shumpert’s alleged actions, Taylor’s attorney is seeking legal recourse. They are urging the court to hold Shumpert in contempt for violating the standing order and to compel him to provide monthly child support payments.
