The Melodic Blue is here.

Hot on the heels of his Kendrick Lamar-assisted single “family ties,” Baby Keem unleashes his major-label debut album. On his first project since 2019’s Die for My Bitch, the 20-year-old rapper enlists his cousin K-Dot for a trio of tracks including “vent” and “range brothers,” some of which was inspired by their made-up languages.

“me and dot created four new languages bro. rap was boring. so we start making new languages,” Keem tweeted.

The 16-track album, released via Kendrick’s pgLang label in partnership with Columbia Records, also features the Travis Scott-assisted “durag activity” and “cocoa” with Don Toliver, plus “issues,” for which he also released a video.

“An album is something that’s really cohesive, in either sound or topic. And for me, that’s how I kind of see me making an album,” Keem told Apple Music. “Die for My Bitch was, like, definitely, it was all over the place. I just want people to hear what I can do.”
