Tyler, the Creator Trolls DJ Khaled While Celebrating His No. 1 Album

Tyler, the Creator has the No. 1 album in the country.

Call Me If You Get Lost opens atop the Billboard 200 with 169,000 equivalent album units, the largest sales week of his career. Tyler previously topped the chart with 2019’s IGOR, which was in a close battle for No. 1 against DJ Khaled’s album Father of Asahd.

The Golf Wang founder celebrated his second No. 1 album in a series of tweets including one that seemed to troll Khaled. “MYSTERIOUS MUSIC! HA!” he tweeted.

Back in 2019, Khaled was reportedly not pleased to take second place to what he deemed “mysterious” music. “I make albums so people can play it and you actually hear it,” he wrote in a since-deleted post. “You know, driving your car, you hear another car playing it. You know, go to the barbershop, you hear them playing it. You know, turn the radio on, and you hear them playing it. It’s called great music. It’s called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious shit that you never hear it.”

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Tyler responded to Khaled’s cryptic comments. “This is no disrespect to Khaled or anyone, but this ni**a had every person in the industry, everyone on that fu**ing album—everyone, everyone—Cardi B, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Beyoncé and JAY, everyone who sells billions of records,” he said.

Elsewhere in this week’s top 10, Doja Cat’s Planet Her debuts at No. 2 with 109,000 equivalent album units earned, her highest-charting effort yet.

Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s The Voice of the Heroes drops 3-4 with 52,000 units, Polo G’s Hall of Fame falls three spots to No. 5 with 49,000 units, and Migos’ Culture III slides to No. 7 with 37,000 units.
