Lil Reese Shot in Chicago

Lil Reese has reportedly been hospitalized following a shooting in Chicago.

The rapper was one of three men shot during a gunfight at a parking garage connected to a luxury high-rise condominium in the River North neighborhood, according to CWBChicago. The incident involved a group of men who were “all shooting at each other” about 9:50 a.m. on Saturday (May 15), said a police spokesperson.

Police responded to shots fired and found three victims with gunshot wounds. According to multiple sources, one of the victims is Tavares Taylor, better known as Lil Reese. The other two victims are a 20-year-old man and a 27-year-old man.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that two men were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition. A third was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair-to-serious condition.

A stolen Dodge Durango with bullet holes was found crashed at the scene. Video footage shows officers arriving and detaining a man. There are believed to be five suspects, two of which are in custody.

This is the second time Lil Reese has been shot in 18 months. In November 2019, he was critically injured by a gunman armed with an AK47 assault rifle.
