Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey Reunite in ‘Where I Belong’ Video

[ad_1]

Eighteen years later, Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey reunite in the video for “Where I Belong.”

The partly-animated clip, inspired by a Frank Miller-stylized graphic novel, picks up where the video for their last collaboration, “I Know What You Want,” left off. It opens with a cameo from Trippie Redd, while La’Shontae “Tae” Heckard reprises her role from the original clip. Mariah, who recently got the COVID-19 vaccine, stuns in a patent leather burgundy dress while hitting high notes alongside Busta.

“Where I Belong,” once again produced by Rick Rock, appears on Busta’s latest album Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God. The sequel to 1998’s E.L.E. dropped in October and also features Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Rick Ross, Rakim, and more.

“I Know What You Want,” which also featured the Flipmode Squad, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003.
