What happened to uplifting Black women? DJ Akademiks says when it comes to judging the music, especially in the small pool of female rappers, skills should be applauded over solidarity any day of the week.

In a recent interview on Van Lathan’s Higher Learning podcast, Ak stated that “Meg Thee Stallion is really overrated as actually an artist” and that you “can’t even talk about any top any Meg Thee Stallion verses that would come close to the top ten Nicki verses.”

The controversial online personality asserts that Megan’s accolades came from her ties in the industry and isn’t really supported by her music.
