Tom Brady Curses Out Buccaneers Teammate Before Super Bowl

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is an intense football player and apparently a motivator.

According to Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David, Brady cursed out one of his Tampa Bay teammates for crying after the Bucs beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game a couple of weeks ago.

“You know me, I’m all happy, it’s my first,” David told the All Things Covered Podcast. “I’m geeked up. Then like, I guess somebody was crying. And I guess like, I heard [Brady] just like, ‘What the f— you crying for? We not done yet.”

The Buccaneers will play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday. The matchup is must see TV because of the quarterback matchup between Brady and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Pat Mahomes. The reigning Super Bowl champs, the Chiefs are -3 on the spread for Super Bowl 55.

Mahomes guided the team to a 14-2 record, threw for 4,740 yards, 38 touchdowns and only six interceptions. As a result, Mahomes had a 66.3% completion rate and an exceptional quarterback rating of 108.2.

“I think he’s the most talented quarterback in the NFL,” says WFAN’s Mark Malusis. “His arm is simply unmatched. Maybe you could compare Aaron Rodgers six or seven years ago. He’s bright and brilliant.”

In his first full season with the Chiefs in 2018, Mahomes had a quarterback rating of 113.8. In that MVP-season, Mahomes threw for 5,097 yards, 50 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions. Last season, Mahomes threw for 4,031, 26 touchdowns and only five interceptions and they won the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.

Tom Brady is no slouch. Brady, 43, is considered by many sports writers, commentators and players to be the greatest quarterback of all time.

“Tom Brady is still the GOAT,” Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown told sports analyst Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson. “I have a lot of respect for him.”

Brady spent the first 20 seasons of his career with the New England Patriots, where he was a core contributor of the franchise’s dynasty from 2001 to 2019. A 14-time NFL Pro Bowler, Brady won six Super Bowl rings as a member of the Patriots and was named MVP four times.

Now he’s looking for his seventh with his new team in the Buccaneers.
